A little piece of Berlin in Helsinki

OMANIMI showroom is a workspace for members of the NIMI collective. This new art gallery has open it´s doors here in my neighbourhood ; Punavuori, Helsinki.

OMANIMI underground art showroom has been now open couple of weeks and I´ts worth of visiting. Gallery opened the showroom with an exhibition of Pallo , a Finnish street artist hailing from Turku. There is also one wall full of NIMI collectives works from 17 different underground artists. Wall looks very nice I have to say.

Gallery´s address is Albertinkatu 22, very same space used to be before Gilles et dada ´s shop so it´s easy to find. OMANIMI also sells nice t-shirts with NIMI Collectives artists prints.

I also decided to put very first video link in Whole Lotta Pearls- Blog history! This video is about OMANIMI  making awesome painting to restaurant Suola. I just love it. Wow.

Our boys at Fashionrue blog.

Our notorious hats are just about everywhere. And how cool is that right?!
Well, I am not surprise as these are probably the best "headwear" you can find at the moment! I wear mine with just about everything, from sneakers and jeans to very high heels and girly dresses!

And now the brand gets a whole new look and immediate notoriety when our boys ( yes, it's not an illusion, neither photoshop miracle, they do come in a pair!) photo got featured on wonderful FASHIONRUE blog.

The comando hats come in several different versions at the moment like Miu (cat eyes) and Cowabunga (Turtles eyes).

Check all about the brand and designs on the website, Burlesque Tsunami and facebook page.U can also order one to yourself trough WLP facebook page.

HALDIN Fall/Winter 12/13

Ok! This is it! We just just got personal!
We are so proud to publish this post... I have been personally waiting to talk about this marvelous  scandinavian clothing label. But now that we've got such marvelous photos, we can deliver it to you!

HALDIN is a label run by a very talented couple living currently in the center of Helsinki!

The Finnish designer and her partner Jonas, from Sweden,  carefully care for all the creation and production of every single peace, making it all more special for it's uniqueness! The materials used don't fall behind it's looks, all fabrics are 100% natural fibers, like wool, silk and finest quality cotton!

I just love the way the mix and match such fine fabric and, otherwise quite traditional shapes, with ultra modern, contemporaneous prints and a sharp, strong, fearless color palette. They have also recently added smart accessories to their collection, like the bow ties, ties, belts and these great wooden pins who is the work of the designer's father, a skillful craftsman from central Finland.
The pins are carved and then hand-painted at the designer's atelier.

I truly hope you are all ready to drop a few coins and go make your wardrobe looks a lot more fun!

All the best to the wonderful couple behind Haldin!

Keep it warm and nice!

Fernando Korpi shoe collection

Our Friend Fernando Korpi has designed a footwear collection. We have post about this Helsinki based designer here in our WLP blog on august and he is definitely worth of checking if you missed the previous post.
Fernando Korpi’s first shoe collection is inspired by HBO’s Boardwalk Empire series and its classical gentleman style. The show is placed in the time of Prohibition in the 1920’s America, when traditional hand-made products were valued. The collection consists of three pairs of shoes, which are made of high quality leather that guarantees the style and the durability of the shoes. Different colored stitchings are used as an effect. The shoes are made by shoemaker Sakari Jakobsson.
